Thus, for the long, middle, and short lifespan categories, there are (the numbers) forty (kha-abdhi) and thirty-six (rasa-vahni). From these (values), the portions measured as thirty-two (danta) should be (used to) precisely calculate the lifespan (āyuḥ).
