बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-43, verse-29

शुनां पारावतानां च कुक्कुटानां द्वादशाब्दकाः ।
बुद्बुदाद्यण्डजानां च परायुः सप्तवत्सराः ॥२९॥
29. śunāṃ pārāvatānāṃ ca kukkuṭānāṃ dvādaśābdakāḥ .

29. For dogs, pigeons, and chickens, the lifespan is twelve years. And for fish and other oviparous (egg-born) creatures, the maximum lifespan is seven years.
