The results (āyā) from the Lagna (ascendant) should be considered equivalent to the degrees (aṃśa). In the sub-periods (antara), this is determined proportionally. If the lord of that house (tatpati) is endowed with strength, and especially if the lord of the house (bhāghipa) is powerful, then the results should be considered equivalent to the full sign (rāśi).
