मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-113, verse-62

तस्याश्च परितुष्टोऽसौ शेषः सर्वोरगेश्वरः ।
मुदावत्या मुदाध्यातमनोवृत्तिस्तपोधनः ॥६२॥
62. tasyāśca parituṣṭo'sau śeṣaḥ sarvorageśvaraḥ .
mudāvatyā mudādhyātamanovṛttistapodhanaḥ.
62. tasyāḥ ca parituṣṭaḥ asau śeṣaḥ sarvorageśvaraḥ
| mudāvatyā mudā dhyāta manovṛttiḥ tapodhanaḥ
62. And that Sheṣa, the lord of all serpents, whose mental inclination was joyfully contemplated by Mudāvatī, and who was rich in asceticism (tapas), was greatly pleased with her.
