मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-113, verse-16

दानवः सुमहावीर्यो वसत्युग्रो रसातले ।
स जृम्भयति यत्पृथ्वीं कुजृम्भः प्रोच्यते ततः ॥१६॥
16. dānavaḥ sumahāvīryo vasatyugro rasātale .
sa jṛmbhayati yatpṛthvīṃ kujṛmbhaḥ procyate tataḥ.
16. dānavaḥ sumahāvīryaḥ vasati ugraḥ rasātale saḥ
jṛmbhayati yat pṛthvīm kujṛmbhaḥ procyate tataḥ
16. A fierce, exceedingly powerful demon lives in Rasatala. Because he causes the earth to shake, he is therefore called Kujṛmbha.
