मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
विदूरथोनाम नृपः ख्यातकीर्तिरभूद्भुवि ।
तस्य पुत्रद्वयं जातं सुनीतिः सुमतिस्तथा ॥१०॥

10. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
vidūrathonāma nṛpaḥ khyātakīrtirabhūdbhuvi .
tasya putradvayaṃ jātaṃ sunītiḥ sumatistathā.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: 'There was a king on earth named Vidūratha, who possessed widespread fame. To him were born two sons, Sunīti and Sumati.'
