मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-113, verse-24

तत्तु निर्वीर्यतां याति संस्पृष्टं योषिता नृप ।
तस्मिन्दिने द्वितीयेऽह्नि वीर्यवत्तदुदीर्यते ॥२४॥
24. tattu nirvīryatāṃ yāti saṃspṛṣṭaṃ yoṣitā nṛpa .
tasmindine dvitīye'hni vīryavattadudīryate.
24. tat tu nirvīryatām yāti saṃspṛṣṭam yoṣitā nṛpa
tasmin dine dvitīye ahni vīryavat tat udīryate
24. But that (club), O king, loses its potency (nirvīryatā) when touched by a woman. It regains its vigor (vīryavat) on the second day.
