स तं पप्रच्छ च नृपः किमेतदिति विस्मितः ।
अतिगम्भीरमवनेर्दर्शितान्तर्गतोदरम् ॥१४॥

And the king, astonished, asked him, "What is this?" (referring to that which was) very deep and revealed the internal cavity of the earth.
