एवं गृहाश्रमे स्थित्वा विधिवत स्नातको द्विजः ।
वने वसेत तु नियतो यथावद विजितैन्द्रियः ॥१॥

Thus, after having stayed in the householder's stage of life (gṛhāśrama) and completed his studies (snātaka) according to the rules, the twice-born (dvija) should live in the forest, disciplined and with senses controlled.
