महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-43, verse-40

एष त्वां प्रेक्षते कर्णः सकटाक्षो विशां पते ।
उत्तमं यत्नमास्थाय ध्रुवमेष्यति संयुगे ॥४०॥
40. eṣa tvāṁ prekṣate karṇaḥ sakaṭākṣo viśāṁ pate ,
uttamaṁ yatnamāsthāya dhruvameṣyati saṁyuge.

uttamam yatnam āsthāya dhruvam eṣyati saṃyuge
40. viśām pate,

saṃyuge dhruvam eṣyati.
40. O ruler of the people, Karna is looking at you with a sidelong glance. Having exerted his utmost effort, he will certainly advance into battle.
