महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-102, verse-7

सौवीराः कितवाः प्राच्याः प्रतीच्योदीच्यमालवाः ।
अभीषाहाः शूरसेनाः शिबयोऽथ वसातयः ।
संग्रामे नाजहुर्भीष्मं वध्यमानाः शितैः शरैः ॥७॥

7. The Sauvīras, Kitavas, Prācyas (Easterners), Pratīcyas (Westerners), Udīcyas (Northerners), Mālavāḥ, Abhīṣāhas, Śūrasenas, Śibayas, and Vasātis, even while being struck down by sharp arrows, did not abandon Bhishma in the battle.
