महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-221, verse-69

दानवान्भक्षयन्तस्ते प्रपिबन्तश्च शोणितम् ।
क्षणान्निर्दानवं सर्वमकार्षुर्भृशहर्षिताः ॥६९॥
69. dānavānbhakṣayantaste prapibantaśca śoṇitam ,
kṣaṇānnirdānavaṁ sarvamakārṣurbhṛśaharṣitāḥ.
69. dānavān bhakṣayantaḥ te prapibantaḥ ca śoṇitam
kṣaṇāt nirdānavam sarvam akārṣuḥ bhṛśaharṣitāḥ
69. Greatly delighted, they devoured the demons and drank their blood, making the entire world free of demons (nirdānava) in an instant.
