महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-221, verse-31

ततस्तद्दारुणं दृष्ट्वा क्षुभितः शंकरस्तदा ।
उमा चैव महाभागा देवाश्च समहर्षयः ॥३१॥
31. tatastaddāruṇaṁ dṛṣṭvā kṣubhitaḥ śaṁkarastadā ,
umā caiva mahābhāgā devāśca samaharṣayaḥ.
31. tataḥ tat dāruṇam dṛṣṭvā kṣubhitaḥ śaṅkaraḥ
tadā umā ca eva mahābhāgā devāḥ ca samaharṣayaḥ
31. Then, upon seeing that terrible event, Śankara (Śiva) immediately became disturbed. So too did Umā, the highly blessed one, and all the gods, along with the great sages.
