महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-221, verse-50

अनयो देवलोकस्य सहसैव व्यदृश्यत ।
तथा हि दानवा घोरा विनिघ्नन्ति दिवौकसः ॥५०॥
50. anayo devalokasya sahasaiva vyadṛśyata ,
tathā hi dānavā ghorā vinighnanti divaukasaḥ.

50. Indeed, a calamity suddenly manifested in the world of the gods, because the terrible Dānavas (demons) were striking down the heavenly beings.
