एवमन्योन्यसंयुक्तं युद्धमासीत्सुदारुणम् ।
देवानां दानवानां च मांसशोणितकर्दमम् ॥४९॥

49. In this way, the battle, fought by both sides, was extremely dreadful, creating a mire of flesh and blood for the gods and the Dānavas (demons).

49. כך התפתח קרב נורא מאוד, שבו הסתבכו הצדדים זה בזה, קרב האלים והדָאנַוַה, ובוץ של בשר ודם.
