महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-221, verse-61

महिषोऽपि रथं दृष्ट्वा रौद्रं रुद्रस्य नानदत् ।
देवान्संत्रासयंश्चापि दैत्यांश्चापि प्रहर्षयन् ॥६१॥
61. mahiṣo'pi rathaṁ dṛṣṭvā raudraṁ rudrasya nānadat ,
devānsaṁtrāsayaṁścāpi daityāṁścāpi praharṣayan.
61. mahiṣaḥ api ratham dṛṣṭvā raudram rudrasya nānanat
devān saṃtrāsayān ca api daityān ca api praharṣayan
61. The buffalo (Mahiṣa) also, upon seeing Rudra's fearsome chariot, roared aloud, simultaneously striking terror into the gods and causing great joy to the demons.
