महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-190, verse-72

एकं हि मे सायकं चित्ररूपं दिग्धं विषेणाहर संगृहीतम् ।
येन विद्धो वामदेवः शयीत संदश्यमानः श्वभिरार्तरूपः ॥७२॥
72. ekaṁ hi me sāyakaṁ citrarūpaṁ; digdhaṁ viṣeṇāhara saṁgṛhītam ,
yena viddho vāmadevaḥ śayīta; saṁdaśyamānaḥ śvabhirārtarūpaḥ.
72. ekam hi me sāyakam citrarūpam
digdham viṣeṇa āhara saṁgṛhītam
yena viddhaḥ vāmadevaḥ śayīta
saṁdaśyamānaḥ śvabhiḥ ārtarūpaḥ
72. [Charioteer,] indeed, bring me that one wondrous arrow, prepared and smeared with poison. With it, Vāmadeva, pierced, will lie down, being bitten by dogs, presenting a pained appearance.
