यं त्वमेनं सायकं घोररूपं विषेण दिग्धं मम संदधासि ।
न त्वमेनं शरवर्यं विमोक्तुं संधातुं वा शक्ष्यसि मानवेन्द्र ॥७६॥

yaṁ tvamenaṁ sāyakaṁ ghorarūpaṁ; viṣeṇa digdhaṁ mama saṁdadhāsi ,
na tvamenaṁ śaravaryaṁ vimoktuṁ; saṁdhātuṁ vā śakṣyasi mānavendra.

Vāmadeva said: 'O lord of men (mānavendra), this terrible-looking arrow, smeared with poison, which you are aiming at me – you will not be able to release or even string this excellent arrow!'
