वामदेव उवाच ।
नानुयोगा ब्राह्मणानां भवन्ति वाचा राजन्मनसा कर्मणा वा ।
यस्त्वेवं ब्रह्म तपसान्वेति विद्वांस्तेन श्रेष्ठो भवति हि जीवमानः ॥६६॥

nānuyogā brāhmaṇānāṁ bhavanti; vācā rājanmanasā karmaṇā vā ,
yastvevaṁ brahma tapasānveti vidvāṁ;stena śreṣṭho bhavati hi jīvamānaḥ.

Vāmadeva said: "O King, Brahmins are not subject to interrogations or challenges, whether by speech, mind, or action. Indeed, one who, being wise, thus follows the supreme reality (brahman) through austerity (tapas), by that path he becomes superior while living."
