वामदेव उवाच ।
घोरं व्रतं ब्राह्मणस्यैतदाहुरेतद्राजन्यदिहाजीवमानः ।

64. Vāmadeva said: "They declare this to be a terrible vow (vrata) for a brahmin—this very sustenance (ājīvamānaḥ) here, O king. Let huge, terrifying, iron-made creatures, armed with sharp lances, carry you in four directions."
