स उवाच दुहितरम् ।
यस्मात्त्वया राजानो विप्रलब्धास्तस्मादब्रह्मण्यानि तवापत्यानि भविष्यन्त्यनृतकत्वात्तवेति ॥४०॥

yasmāttvayā rājāno vipralabdhāstasmādabrahmaṇyāni tavāpatyāni bhaviṣyantyanṛtakatvāttaveti.

He said to his daughter, 'Because you have deceived kings, therefore your offspring will be impious (abrahmaṇyāni) due to your untruthfulness (anṛtakatva).'
