महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-190, verse-35

प्रतिजानीहि नैतांस्त्वं प्राप्य क्रोधं विमोक्ष्यसे ।
अलं कृत्वा तवाधर्मं मण्डूकैः किं हतैर्हि ते ॥३५॥
35. pratijānīhi naitāṁstvaṁ prāpya krodhaṁ vimokṣyase ,
alaṁ kṛtvā tavādharmaṁ maṇḍūkaiḥ kiṁ hatairhi te.
35. pratijānīhi na etān tvam prāpya krodham vimokṣyase
alam kṛtvā tava adharmam maṇḍūkaiḥ kim hataiḥ hi te
35. Promise that you will not kill these (frogs) even after you have become angry. Indeed, what good will it do you to kill the frogs, achieving nothing but a futile act of unrighteousness (adharma)?
