महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-190, verse-69

एवं ब्रुवन्नेव स यातुधानैर्हतो जगामाशु महीं क्षितीशः ।
ततो विदित्वा नृपतिं निपातितमिक्ष्वाकवो वै दलमभ्यषिञ्चन् ॥६९॥
69. evaṁ bruvanneva sa yātudhānai;rhato jagāmāśu mahīṁ kṣitīśaḥ ,
tato viditvā nṛpatiṁ nipātita;mikṣvākavo vai dalamabhyaṣiñcan.
69. evam bruvan eva saḥ yātudhānaiḥ
hataḥ jagāma āśu mahīm kṣitīśaḥ
tataḥ viditvā nṛpatim nipātitam
ikṣvākavaḥ vai dalam abhyaṣiñcan
69. The king, even as he spoke thus, was killed by the rākṣasas and quickly fell to the earth. Then, having learned that the king was slain, the Ikshvakus indeed crowned Dala.
