महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-146, verse-24

विषमच्छेदरचितैरनुलिप्तमिवाङ्गुलैः ।
विमलैर्धातुविच्छेदैः काञ्चनाञ्जनराजतैः ॥२४॥
24. viṣamacchedaracitairanuliptamivāṅgulaiḥ ,
vimalairdhātuvicchedaiḥ kāñcanāñjanarājataiḥ.
24. viṣamacchedaracitāiḥ anuliptam iva aṅgulāiḥ
vimalāiḥ dhātuvicchedāiḥ kāñcanāñjanarājatāiḥ
24. The [mountain] appeared as if smeared by fingers, and by pure mineral streaks – created with uneven cuts, [streaks] resembling gold, antimony (collyrium), and silver.
