महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-49, verse-29

आर्चीको जनयामास जमदग्निः सुदारुणम् ।
सर्वविद्यान्तगं श्रेष्ठं धनुर्वेदे च पारगम् ।
रामं क्षत्रियहन्तारं प्रदीप्तमिव पावकम् ॥२९॥

29. Jamadagni, a descendant of Ṛcīka, gave birth to Rāma, who was extremely formidable, proficient in all branches of knowledge, excellent, and a master in the science of archery (Dhanurveda). He was the slayer of kṣatriyas and resembled a blazing fire.
