महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-49, verse-25

सत्यवत्युवाच ।
काममेवं भवेत्पौत्रो ममेह तव चैव ह ।
शमात्मकमृजुं पुत्रं लभेयं जपतां वर ॥२५॥
25. satyavatyuvāca ,
kāmamevaṁ bhavetpautro mameha tava caiva ha ,
śamātmakamṛjuṁ putraṁ labheyaṁ japatāṁ vara.
25. satyavatī uvāca | kāmam evam bhavet pautraḥ mama iha tava
ca eva ha | śamātmakam ṛjum putram labheyam japatām vara
25. satyavatī uvāca kāmam evam iha mama ca tava ca eva ha pautraḥ
bhavet japatām vara (aham) śamātmakam ṛjum putram labheyam
25. Satyavatī said: "So be it; let a grandson be born to me here and to you as well. (But still), O best among those who recite (mantras), I desire to obtain a son who is peaceful (śamātmaka) and straightforward."
