महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-49, verse-27

वासुदेव उवाच ।
ततः सत्यवती पुत्रं जनयामास भार्गवम् ।
तपस्यभिरतं शान्तं जमदग्निं शमात्मकम् ॥२७॥
27. vāsudeva uvāca ,
tataḥ satyavatī putraṁ janayāmāsa bhārgavam ,
tapasyabhirataṁ śāntaṁ jamadagniṁ śamātmakam.

bhārgavam tapasi abhiratam śāntam jamadagnim śama-ātmakam

27. Vasudeva said: Then, Satyavatī gave birth to Jamadagni, a son of the Bhṛgu lineage, who was devoted to austerities (tapas), peaceful, and whose very nature was tranquility.
