महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-49, verse-64

ऊरुणा धारयामास कश्यपः पृथिवीं ततः ।
निमज्जन्तीं तदा राजंस्तेनोर्वीति मही स्मृता ॥६४॥

64. ūruṇā dhārayāmāsa kaśyapaḥ pṛthivīṁ tataḥ ,
nimajjantīṁ tadā rājaṁstenorvīti mahī smṛtā.

64. Then, O King, Kaśyapa sustained the Earth (pṛthivī) with his thigh as it was sinking; hence, the Earth (mahī) is remembered as Urvī.
