महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-335, verse-66

ततः परिवृतो ब्रह्मा हतारिर्वेदसत्कृतः ।
निर्ममे स तदा लोकान्कृत्स्नान्स्थावरजङ्गमान् ॥६६॥
66. tataḥ parivṛto brahmā hatārirvedasatkṛtaḥ ,
nirmame sa tadā lokānkṛtsnānsthāvarajaṅgamān.

66. Then, (lord) Brahmā, honored by the Vedas and with his enemies slain, created all the worlds, both animate and inanimate.
