यत्र वेदा विनिक्षिप्तास्तत्स्थानं शून्यमेव च ॥५५॥

Then the two demons, Madhu and Kaitabha, perceiving nothing (of the Vedas), swiftly returned there. And as they looked, that place where the Vedas had been deposited was indeed empty.
