रजन्यामप्रकाशश्च संतापयति चन्द्रमाः ।
कृष्णरक्तांशुपर्यन्तो यथा लोकस्य संक्षये ॥८॥

8. rajanyāmaprakāśaśca saṃtāpayati candramāḥ ,
kṛṣṇaraktāṃśuparyanto yathā lokasya saṃkṣaye.

8. The moon, devoid of light, and with dark and red rays at its edges, afflicts in the night, just as it would at the destruction of the world.
