आवृतः स गिरिः सर्वैस्तैः समन्तात् प्लवंगमैः ।
अयुतानां सहस्रं च पुरीं तामभ्यवर्तत ॥४२॥

42. āvṛtaḥ sa giriḥ sarvaistaiḥ samantāt plavaṃgamaiḥ ,
ayutānāṃ sahasraṃ ca purīṃ tāmabhyavartata.

42. That mountain was completely surrounded on all sides by all those monkeys (plavaṅgama). And a thousand tens of thousands (totaling ten million) also approached that city.
