अन्ते क्लेशकरं चैव नीचे तेषां तथैव च ॥४५॥

At the beginning of the sub-period (bhukti) there will be loss of friends, a little happiness in the middle, and at the end it will cause distress. Similarly, these effects occur when the planets (causing the bhukti) are debilitated.
