मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-43, verse-80

निर्जितेन्द्रियवर्गस्तु त्यक्त्वा सङ्गमशेषतः ।
मनो ब्रह्मणि सन्धाय तज्जये परमो जयः ॥८०॥
80. nirjitendriyavargastu tyaktvā saṅgamaśeṣataḥ .
mano brahmaṇi sandhāya tajjaye paramo jayaḥ.
80. nirjitendriyavargaḥ tu tyaktvā saṅgam aśeṣataḥ
manaḥ brahmaṇi sandhāya tat jaye paramaḥ jayaḥ
80. But one who has conquered their group of senses (indriya-varga), having completely abandoned attachment, and having fixed the mind (manas) in brahman, achieves supreme victory (jaya) in its (the mind's) conquest.
