मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-43, verse-49

यच्चार्करश्मिसंयोगादर्ककान्तो हुताशनम् ।
आविष्करोति नैकः सन्नुपमा सापि योगिनः ॥४९॥
49. yaccārkaraśmisaṃyogādarkakānto hutāśanam .
āviṣkaroti naikaḥ sannupamā sāpi yoginaḥ.
49. yat ca arka-raśmi-saṃyogāt arka-kāntaḥ hutāśanam
āviṣkaroti na ekaḥ san upamā sā api yoginaḥ
49. And just as a sunstone gem produces fire due to contact with sunbeams, not by itself (but requiring the beams), that too is a simile for the practitioner of yoga (yogin).
