महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-62, verse-7

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
त्वद्युक्तोऽयमनुप्रश्नो यन्मां पृच्छसि पार्थिव ।
तत्तेऽहं संप्रवक्ष्यामि यथावद्भरतर्षभ ॥७॥
7. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
tvadyukto'yamanupraśno yanmāṁ pṛcchasi pārthiva ,
tatte'haṁ saṁpravakṣyāmi yathāvadbharatarṣabha.
7. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca tvat-yuktaḥ
ayam anupraśnaḥ yat mām pṛcchasi
pārthiva tat te aham
sampravakṣyāmi yathāvat bharatarṣabha

7. Vaiśampaayana said: "This inquiry is fitting for you, O king (pārthiva), because you ask me. Therefore, I will explain that to you completely and truthfully (yathāvat), O best of the Bharatas."
