महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-26, verse-48

न नूनमस्त्राणि बलं पराक्रमः क्रिया सुनीतं परमायुधानि वा ।
अलं मनुष्यस्य सुखाय वर्तितुं तथा हि युद्धे निहतः परैर्गुरुः ॥४८॥
48. na nūnamastrāṇi balaṁ parākramaḥ; kriyā sunītaṁ paramāyudhāni vā ,
alaṁ manuṣyasya sukhāya vartituṁ; tathā hi yuddhe nihataḥ parairguruḥ.
48. na nūnam astrāṇi balam parākramaḥ
kriyā sunītam paramāyudhāni vā |
alam manuṣyasya sukhāya vartitum
tathā hi yuddhe nihataḥ paraiḥ guruḥ
48. nūnam astrāṇi balam parākramaḥ kriyā
sunītam vā paramāyudhāni manuṣyasya
sukhāya vartitum na alam hi
tathā hi guruḥ yuddhe paraiḥ nihataḥ
48. Surely, neither weapons, nor strength, nor valor, nor [ritual] actions, nor excellent policy, nor even ultimate weapons, are sufficient for a person to live happily (sukha); for indeed, the guru has thus been slain by enemies in battle.
