महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-26, verse-34

निश्चरन्तो व्यदृश्यन्त सूर्यात्सप्त महाग्रहाः ।
उल्कापातश्च संजज्ञे दिशां दाहस्तथैव च ।
तथाशन्यश्च संपेतुर्ववुर्वाताश्च दारुणाः ॥३४॥
34. niścaranto vyadṛśyanta sūryātsapta mahāgrahāḥ ,
ulkāpātaśca saṁjajñe diśāṁ dāhastathaiva ca ,
tathāśanyaśca saṁpeturvavurvātāśca dāruṇāḥ.

34. Seven great celestial bodies were seen emerging from the sun. A shower of meteors occurred, and similarly, the quarters of the sky appeared to be burning. Also, thunderbolts fell, and dreadful winds blew.
