महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-26, verse-15

आस्थितः स रथश्रेष्ठं कर्णः शरगभस्तिमान् ।
प्रबभौ पुरुषव्याघ्रो मन्दरस्थ इवांशुमान् ॥१५॥
15. āsthitaḥ sa rathaśreṣṭhaṁ karṇaḥ śaragabhastimān ,
prababhau puruṣavyāghro mandarastha ivāṁśumān.

15. Seated upon his excellent chariot, Karṇa, that tiger among men (puruṣavyāghra) and wielder of arrow-rays, shone brilliantly, like the sun (aṃśumān) positioned atop Mount Mandara.
