महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-26, verse-36

प्रस्थितस्य च कर्णस्य निपेतुस्तुरगा भुवि ।
अस्थिवर्षं च पतितमन्तरिक्षाद्भयानकम् ॥३६॥
36. prasthitasya ca karṇasya nipetusturagā bhuvi ,
asthivarṣaṁ ca patitamantarikṣādbhayānakam.

asthivarṣam ca patitam antarikṣāt bhayānakam
36. ca karṇasya prasthitasya (sati) turagā bhuvi nipetuḥ.

36. And as Karna was departing, his horses fell to the ground. A terrifying shower of bones also fell from the sky.
