महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-26, verse-39

न च तान्गणयामासुः सर्वे ते दैवमोहिताः ।
प्रस्थितं सूतपुत्रं च जयेत्यूचुर्नरा भुवि ।
निर्जितान्पाण्डवांश्चैव मेनिरे तव कौरवाः ॥३९॥
39. na ca tāngaṇayāmāsuḥ sarve te daivamohitāḥ ,
prasthitaṁ sūtaputraṁ ca jayetyūcurnarā bhuvi ,
nirjitānpāṇḍavāṁścaiva menire tava kauravāḥ.
39. na ca tān gaṇayāmāsuḥ sarve te
daivamohitāḥ prasthitam sūtaputram ca
jaya iti ūcuḥ narāḥ bhuvi nirjitān
pāṇḍavān ca eva menire tava kauravāḥ

39. However, all of them, deluded by fate, disregarded those (omens). And the people on the battlefield hailed the son of the charioteer (Karṇa) who had set out, crying 'Victory!' Your Kauravas indeed believed the Pandavas to be already conquered.
