अहो नु चञ्चलमिदं प्रत्याहृतमपि क्षणात् ।
न मनः स्थैर्यमायाति तरङ्गप्रौढपर्णवत् ॥ १२ ॥

aho nu cañcalamidaṃ pratyāhṛtamapi kṣaṇāt ,
na manaḥ sthairyamāyāti taraṅgaprauḍhaparṇavat 12

12. Oh, how restless this mind (manas) is! Even though it is withdrawn for a moment, it does not achieve stability, just like a leaf tossed by powerful waves.
