योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-36, verse-64

सुखदुःखक्रमः प्राप्य भवन्तं परिनश्यति ।
प्राकाश्यमासाद्य यथा तमस्तेजोऽथवा हिमम् ॥ ६४ ॥

sukhaduḥkhakramaḥ prāpya bhavantaṃ parinaśyati ,
prākāśyamāsādya yathā tamastejo'thavā himam 64

64. The succession of pleasure and pain, upon reaching you (the true Self), completely vanishes, just as darkness or ice completely vanishes when it encounters light or brilliance.
