However, when houses (bhāvas) are aspected or conjoined by planets that are exalted or otherwise strong (uccādi), and not by planets that are combust, in enemy signs, or debilitated, they yield auspicious outcomes. But if these houses are aspected or conjoined by malefic planets (pāpaiḥ), they certainly bestow inauspicious results.
