बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-66, verse-60

अर्कोऽर्कज्ञौ बुधोऽर्कारतनुज्ञाः सकलास्ततः ।
कुजज्ञगुरुशुक्राश्च क्रमात् स्थानमिदं विदुः ॥६०॥
60. arko'rkajñau budho'rkāratanujñāḥ sakalāstataḥ .
kujajñaguruśukrāśca kramāt sthānamidaṃ viduḥ.
60. arkaḥ arka-jñau budhaḥ arka-āra-tanu-jñāḥ sakalāḥ
tataḥ kuja-jña-guru-śukrāḥ ca kramāt sthānam idam viduḥ
60. The Sun is considered a significator for the first house; the Sun and Mercury for the second house; Mercury for the third; the Sun, Mars, the ascendant (Lagna), and Mercury for the fourth; all planets for the fifth; and thereafter, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus are respectively known as significators for the sixth, seventh, ninth, and eleventh houses. In this way, they understand these positions (sthānam) in their proper sequence (kramāt).
