मध्ये मध्ये महत्कष्टं पश्चादारोग्यमादिशेत् ।
दायेशाद्रन्ध्रभावस्थे व्यये वा पापसंयुते ॥७०॥

70. During the middle portion [of the sub-period (bhukti)], there is significant hardship; however, health is indicated later. This occurs when the lord of the planetary sub-period (dāyeśa) is situated in the eighth house (randhra-bhāva), or the twelfth house (vyaya-bhāva), or is conjoined with malefic planets (pāpa-saṃyute).
