मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इत्युक्त्वा स महाभागः स्पृष्ट्वापः प्रयतः शुचिः ।
प्राहेदं प्रणिपत्याग्निं गार्हपत्यमुपांशुना ॥७४॥

74. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
ityuktvā sa mahābhāgaḥ spṛṣṭvāpaḥ prayataḥ śuciḥ .
prāhedaṃ praṇipatyāgniṃ gārhapatyamupāṃśunā.

74.
Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having thus spoken, that highly blessed one, pure and self-controlled after touching water, bowed down to the Gārhapatya fire and then spoke this (statement) in a low voice.
