विभ्रष्टपादलेपोऽथ चिरेण जडितक्रमः ।
चिन्तयामास किमिदं मयाज्ञानादनुष्ठितम् ॥२७॥

Then, as his foot-ointment had worn off, and his movements became stiff after a long time, he pondered, 'What is this that I have done out of ignorance?'
