न भोगार्थाय विप्राणां शस्यते हि वरूथिनी ।
इह क्लेशाय विप्राणां चेष्टा प्रेत्याफलप्रदा ॥७०॥

na bhogārthāya viprāṇāṃ śasyate hi varūthinī .
iha kleśāya viprāṇāṃ ceṣṭā pretyāphalapradā.

The Brahmin said, "O Varuthini, enjoyment is certainly not prescribed for Brahmins. In this life, such endeavors for Brahmins only lead to trouble, and after death, they prove fruitless."
