मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-61, verse-12

ब्राह्मण उवाच ।
मन्त्रौषधिप्रभावेण विप्राप्रतिहता गतिः ।
योजनानां सहस्रं हि दिनार्धेन व्रजाम्यम् ॥१२॥
12. brāhmaṇa uvāca .
mantrauṣadhiprabhāveṇa viprāpratihatā gatiḥ .
yojanānāṃ sahasraṃ hi dinārdhena vrajāmyam.
12. brāhmaṇa uvāca mantrauṣadhiprabhāveṇa viprāpratihatā
gatiḥ yojanānām sahasram hi dinārdhena vrajāmi aham
12. The brahmin said, "By the power of sacred incantations (mantra) and medicinal herbs (auṣadhi), my movement is unobstructed, as is fitting for a brahmin. Indeed, I can travel a thousand yojanas in half a day."
